We got up early (except for Al) because of the rooster alarm. Was a nice morning that allowed some of or stuff to dry out. We used the campsite dryer to dry our other clothes.
Before we left Sainte Rosa du Nord, we took a few pictures and then headed east towards Taddossac so we could catch a ferry to cross the St. Lawrence.
We rode thru some gorgeous country along the Sageunay River, thru the Sageunay Provincial Park. We saw some huge mountains that lined the highway. Some went as high as 1300 ft.
Once we got to Taddossac, we stopped for gas and information and learned that the ferry was leaving Forestville at 1:30 and if we missed it, it might be a long time to get another. We had 1.5 hours to cover the 100km, so we booted it down the highway. We had some construction along the way, but got to the ferry at about 1:15. Only problem was they only had room for 2 bikes. Jamie and Al took that ferry so that they could find accomodations near Rimouski and Al and I had to wait for the 5:30 ferry. We went back into town to use the McDonald's wireless so I could work on today's blog.
We took the one hour ferry to Rimouski and met up with Jamie and Al. We then went east about 30km from Rimouski and stayed at a campsite called Camping Annie. We had a group site with no electricity or water but only paid $28 for the site. We didn't need those luxuries as it was getting late and we just needed a place to sleep. We showered up before calling it a night.
Tomorrow, we're off to Matane and then south towards New Brunswick.
